About the Item

These 1" flute paper beads were made from the Crate and Barrel Spring 2011 catalog (yes, the patio section)! The cool blue and orange beads are accented with turquoise rondelles and antiqued silver spacers. This one is easy to pull on and one size fits all and is about 8.25".

I carefully measure, cut and hand-roll every single paper bead and then double glaze them with a 100% non-toxic, environmentally friendly product. My technique involves hand-painting the glaze onto each bead, two and sometimes even three times. After the first glaze, I allow them to cure completely overnight and then repeat the process. Many of the paper beads out there are sealed with a highly toxic, clear enamel spray paint or dipped in some other chemical glaze. That’s what sets mine apart. Mine are basically hand-painted works of art, and completely environmentally safe to boot! The glaze seals the beads and makes them ultra shiny, durable, and water resistant. Each bead is truly one-of-a-kind.

This item comes in a cotton-filled jewelry box and is gift wrapped with paper and hemp string.
