About the Item
Handmade original one of a kind design using fabric repurposed from a black and taupe check wool men’s suit jacket. The pieces have been recycled into various inserts on the body, bottom, and upper sections of the purse. The remainder of the body is constructed of strips of various coordinating remnants and scraps of decorator fabrics and remnants from my stash. A sleeve portion graces one side, while a pocket decorates the other side. Gussets repeat the strip design.
Inside, the lining is constructed of the suit jacket linings, including the original labels, and two original inside pockets.
The straps are secured by recycled black leather trim holding D rings, through which gun metal aluminum chain is strung. The chain is further decorated by leather strips interwoven with the links.
The bag is about 18 by 13 inches in dimension. The straps are about 28 inches long.
