About the Item

Martin the Rat just wants to say how much he loves this sunny day.

Information for potential adopters:
♥I've made Martin completely out wool using a technique called needle felting
♥Not only is he made almost entirely out of eco-friendly wool (the grey wool is undyed north ronaldsay wool, from a rare breed of sheep that eat seaweed most months of the year).
♥Wool itself is a renewable (they grow new woolly locks each year!) and sustainable material.
♥Martin is about four inches tall (10cm).
♥Made in a smoke-free, pet free (except for my animals) home.

Martin would make a cute little gift for someone who loves all animals.

Please note - my creatures are one-of-a-kind sculptures and not intended for small children.

More about the process:
Needle felting is the process of shaping fluffy wool into a solid sculpture with a little barbed needle. It's a long process, as you can imagine, but it produces cute, one of a kind results. There's no glue involved, no sewing, no beads, and no pattern. You can see pics showing the technique here:
