About the Item

This blue and white rug reminds me of the iconic willow pattern china.

I crocheted this one of a kind (OOAK) rug with salvaged fabric cut into yarn. The solid blue fabric for this rug came in the form of mill ends, a by-product of manufacturing, where the large spools of fabric are trimmed and the result is a narrow strip of fabric yards and yards and yards long. Essentially waste to the factory, but collected by rug makers to use in rug-making. The center stripe of fabric was a bedsheet that I bought at a thrift store, laundered, and cut into strips. It had a pattern that resulted in flecks of blue and green when crocheted. Using fabric yarn creates a rug that is thick and soft yet very very durable.

This rug is machine washable and dryable. It measures 25 inches (63.5 cm) in diameter. Perfect for the bathroom, kitchen, office, living room, bedroom, playroom, nursery, dorm room, or any other room that needs a nice rug or mat.

Additionally, dogs and cats love to sit on these rugs! This rug would make a great pet mat to put on the sofa, a table, or your pet's favorite place to hang out.
