About the Item

Add a little love to any room in your house with this modern heart rug.

I crocheted this one of a kind (OOAK) rug with salvaged fabric cut into yarn. The fabrics for this rug came in the form of mill ends, a by-product of manufacturing, where the large spools of fabric are trimmed and the result is a narrow strip of fabric yards and yards and yards long. Essentially waste to the factory, but collected by rug makers to use in rug-making. Using fabric yarn creates a rug that is thick and soft yet very very durable. This fabric is a beautiful deep rich gray color.

The heart applique is my own design and was cut from an orange t-shirt purchased from a thrift store. I attached the applique to the rug with a fabric bonding agent and then hand-stitched around the edge.

This rug is machine washable and dryable. It measures 23 inches (58.4 cm) in diameter. Perfect for the bathroom, kitchen, office, living room, bedroom, playroom, nursery, dorm room, or any other room that needs a nice rug or mat.

Additionally, dogs and cats love to sit on these rugs! This rug would make a great pet mat to put on the sofa, a table, or your pet's favorite place to hang out.
