Care instructions: hand wash cool water, mild detergent, pat with towel to remove excess water, reshape, lay flat to dry.


A little more info on what goes into an EcoCessory:

Plants are an integral part of a healthy planet, they help to clean our air, provide us nutrition and can be used to make fantastic clothing and accessories. Your EcoCessory is made from either organic cotton, soy or bamboo , or a combination thereof.

Cotton:

Cotton has been popular in the clothing industry for ages, but traditional cotton uses high amounts of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers that are a petroleum by-product and not environmentally friendly. Organic cotton however promotes healthy soil, plants and products, by using natural fertilizers, compost and natural pest control such as ladybugs which destroy harmful insects.

Soy:

Soy fabric and yarn is made from soy protein, which is a by-product of tofu manufacturing. Soy fabric is often called soy silk from the soft silky feel and sheen which looks much like silk, but is made from plants and not silk worms. Soy fiber isn’t new. It was actually invented by Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company in 1937. In fact, he made a suit and tie from this unique fabric, which he wore to promote soy beans. Ford vehicles were also decked out with soybean fabric upholstery. Soy fabric is non-allergenic so those who cannot eat soy products can safely wear soy fabric.

Bamboo:

Bamboo is not a tree, but a grass. It is easily sustainable as it can handle drought as well as flooding. Farming bamboo is not harmful to the environment because it does not require any pesticides or herbicides. One of its greatest qualities, as far as textile production, is that it is very fast growing. Bamboo can grow 75 feet in 45 to 60 days. Moso bamboo, is the type of bamboo that is used to produce fabric. This is the same type that you love to eat but not the same kind that pandas depend upon.
