About the Item
Detail and handfinishing on the hydrangea petal and settings make these earrings a future heirloom of true handmade studio jewelry reminiscent of the Art Nouveau era. Every element is original and has been hand fashioned; the jump rings, settings and flower are my own design exclusively.
The lime green peridots are 6 mm and very fine quality. I carved the original hydrangea petal in wax. I had that one cast and then made a mold of it.
I designed and made the silver four prong peridot settings which are my own model and were designed after turn of the century jewelry style. All jump rings are soldered closed. Other pieces in this collection include a ring, single petal earrings and vintage style pendant.
Hydrangea quercifolia, commonly known as Oak Leaf hydrangea petal cast in sterling silver dangle earrings with gem Peridot. The original petal was handcarved in wax then cast in silver. It is Inspired by the beautiful native plant found in the Eastern US and in my garden!
