I call it "New Shop Needs ♥" and I like to sit back and watch their views increase. I've even seen some sales from it!! I agree that that first sale is often many months in the making and I think a lot of new sellers take a long time to figure out what works for them promotion wise. Pounce is a great feature for these Etsians. Occasionally I will wander through shops I find on Pounce and Twitter about the cool stuff some undiscovered shops have. I agree that that first sale is often many months in the making and I think a lot of new sellers take a long time to figure out what works for them promotion wise. Pounce is a great feature for these Etsians.

I'm sure a goodly number of these shops didn't open years ago -- the seller joined as a buyer years ago. I was a buyer for well over a year before I opened up shop, which makes my 50+ sales look lethargic rather than not too bad.
