Submitting Your Etsy Items to Bloggers

One of the most important ways of marketing your handmade goods online is to submit your products to blogs to be featured.  We are talking about just a feature and not a review.  Some blogs will review items and ask for a sample.  I have done this in the past on my blog and have seen a great response as far as traffic goes.  Once you start getting blogs to feature you, your links back to your Etsy shop will start to increase.  Once your links increase, your Google Page Rank will increase, and your shop will move up in the Google search.

Julie from the Fine Tooth Comb blog has put together a quick 1.2.3 on submiting your items to bloggers for a review:

Here is number one from her blog:

1. Research, Research, Research!
* What type of items does the blogger feature?
* Do your items fit this blog’s genre?
* What is the best way to contact the blogger?
Tip: Search the blogger’s site to find an email address or contact form.  Some bloggers have a separate email address just for submissions.
* What is the blogger’s first name?
Tip: Search through the blog’s archives, about page, etc. to find the blogger’s first name.  You’ll be surprised at the great first impression that using the blogger’s name will provide.
