Ever have one of those days where you are caught completely off guard? Clearly, I brought it upon myself. I failed to watch the news last night or this morning. So not only did I wash my car last night, I sent my child to school without a rain coat or umbrella. I also conveniently scheduled to have our carpets cleaned (thinking oh Texas heat should dry those suckers in a couple hours). You can probably see where I am headed…not only did it rain, but the remnants of a tropical storm decided to descend on the great state of Texas.  In my naivete, I just thought it was a simple afternoon thunderstorm. The radio finally clued me in that we are under a flash flood watch and the neighboring county is under a tornado warning.  This explains the neighbor’s dog kayaking down my street.  So now I have 1 soaked child, 1 hyper child that has been stuck inside all day, 1 puppy that has disowned me and 1 other that is soaking wet (don’t ask)..all locked together in the one room of the house that has hardwood floors. My bright idea of having clean carpets to start the school year has back fired due to high humidity levels and that lovely tropical storm Hermine.

Enjoy these Etsy rainy day finds. I am going to be attempting to recapture my lost day this evening all while watching the news. Lesson learned. Oh, and if you ever need it to rain..just let me know, I will be sure to wash my car for you.  You will be floating in no time.
