Rainy Day Blues

rainy day

Awoke to a miserable rainy cold day but it was half price day at my local Salvation Army store.Walked in to find renovations going on so there was not a lot of new stuff on the floor.I did manage to find a couple of things but not satisfied I drove to Goodwill.

Again,renovations!

Here is my theory, for what it’s worth.

More and more people are shopping at thrift stores. It is generally busy these days and peopled with folks that you previously didn’t see shopping there. So I believe that it is due to the down  economy. In my more upbeat moments(and I am a glass half empty kind of gal) I am pleased that we are seeing the value in used items and are being less wasteful.Win-win!

All in all it was not a great day for me but I’ll be there again next week. It’s  about the hunt although I hope the renovations are finished!

Or maybe I’ll branch out  and see what ’s up the road a piece.

  1. My favorite days are spent either in the thrift store~ I just discovered a huge one close to my house~ or at the vintage outdoor market. I love the hunt :)
