Inspiration

What inspires you to create?  Where does it come from?  Is it something you consciously think about or does it just happen?   I suppose inspiration is different for everyone.  Some people are inspired by the written word.

While others are inspired by the wonders of nature.

I am inspired by what is around me, people, fashion or events. But mainly, I just get inspired during quiet moments in the day.

I definitely fall into the “inspired by nature” category. I do like to put my own little twist on it though! :)

    Beautiful feature!

Inspiration: some of my favorites are a walk in the woods, listening to beautiful music, or happy feelings (like holding a baby, stroking a soft furry cat or dog, spending time with family). Then my inner voice says “Gotta go make something!” and it’s clay time.

To me inspirations come from a special moment from nature like floral blosom , raining season, walk along the sea, waves, rain drops and moutains and dusty smoky days .

For me inspiration comes from a sunny day, my pets, the trees, birds singing. Happy days are inspiration. Don’t ask me about the rain!! Or snow! Oh, a bead show is definately high up on my list.

I’m inspired but lots of things – natural beauty mostly – but its not until i sit at my work bench and start playing with patterns and colours that an original piece appears. Its funny how the initial inspiration can lead to something very different when you see the finished product. A friend of mine, however sees the finished piece in his head and work to that brief… guess we are all unique!

Inspiration is everywhere! I find inspiration in all things, both in the real world and the virtual one (where would I be without Flickr?!).

Time of day seems to be important for me too: most ideas for both writing and creating seem to come to me either just as I’m about to fall asleep, or in the wee hours of the morning (typically when I really really need a sleep in!). So yes – I’m one of *those* people who keep a pencil and paper by their bed, the only way I get to sleep is if I write the idea down!
