What are MySpark Product Pages?

Product Pages are web pages that are very similar to pages in your Etsy shop. We use the Etsy API to keep them up to date. We’ve added a few things to what Etsy offers, removed a few things, and done a few things differently. The result is that our Product Pages sometimes get better SEO than the same Etsy listing, and also that shoppers get a different experience that compliments the awesome experience already offered on Etsy. Product Pages expand the Handmade Spark MySpark Mini-Sites that we a launched a couple of months ago with individual pages for EVERY product you have listed on Etsy. Let’s take a look at a MySpark product Page in more detail. Below you will see one of Kahili Creations’ Product Pages where we have numbered the sections so that we can dig in to them one by one.

1. Every product page has your Etsy banner at the top. This banner links back to your MySpark Mini-Site and helps create a consistent brand across the Internet. Your banner for your product pages will automatically change if you change your banner in your Etsy shop.

2. This is the title of your item and the title of this product page. This title is what search engines see when looking at your product page. There is also a link to your MySpark Mini-Site under the item title.

These are the photos of your items and where you get the chance to really sell yourself with great photos (See series on product photogrpahy). When you mouse over each thumbnail the main picture enlarges. When you click on the main picture you go right to the item on Etsy

4. Each product page is shareable on hundreds of sites. T he most recent addition to the list of sites is the Facebook “like” button. Your buyers can “like” your product page and it will show up on their Facebook wall. The number of likes also increase with every like, so you can keep track of your Facebook likes!

5. This is the price of your item, and you will notice that the stock number is clickable over to the item on Etsy.

6. Whatever tags you entered when you listed your item on Etsy will be shown here. The only difference is these tags are helping you in the search engine search. Your tags on Etsy are only used in the internal search on Etsy, but on your MySpark Product Page your tags are working for you on Google and other search engines.

7. When your buyers are ready to buy, the green “Buy on Etsy” button will put the item in their Etsy shopping cart. Under the buy button, for new Etsy customers we have a link that explains how to buy on Etsy.

8. This is the about the item section. This is the exact description you have for your item on Etsy. So make it great!

9. Here you will see your avatar, and categories and tags for your Mini-Site.

10. Here is where your buyers are going to be able to connect with you with little effort. There is a large “Contact Me” button where they can email you directly and securely through Handmade Spark’s email system.

11. Your buyers will also be able to click right through to your Etsy shop, Facebook page, blog, and website. This will allow them to see what you are up to around the web and better understand your brand.

12. Your Twitter feed is automatically inserted into all of your product pages . Your Twitter feed is SEO friendly, and is searchable by Google.

13. Here is where your buyers can see all of your items you have listed in your Etsy shop all in one place. Once they click on an item it will take them to a new Handmade Spark Product Page.

Your Handmade Spark Product Pages are updated regularly. So, if you edit any aspect of your items on Etsy it will automatically change on your product page.
