Handmade Feature with RitzeeRebel
1.Introduce yourself and what you do? My name is Rebecca and I’m a recent college grad still searching for a job but using my free time to make my felt items.
2.How did you get started and what made you decide to sell on etsy? I got started in mid-2008 when I saw the cutest felt pin set on an online site; I have always been a crafty person so I decided it was something I wanted to try myself. I made a few cupcakes to start with and loved how they turned out so decided to try to sell them. I had previously joined Etsy as a buyer but then when I wanted to sell my pins, I knew Etsy would be the best place to do so.
3.What is your favorite medium/material to work with? My favorite medium/material to work with is definitely felt and I also love using beads when possible since they give even plain items a nice sparkle.
4.What is the best advice you were ever given regarding selling your product? The best advice I was given was to make what make what I love and focus on the fun I have making my items. Sales are never a guarantee but as long as you’re making something you love, at least you’ll be having fun while trying!
5.Do you have any other hobbies and what are they? My other hobbies are reading, shopping and hanging out with friends. And somewhere in there, no matter where I am, I’m always thinking of new ideas for my items.
6.List your places where you promote your product- ex. facebook, twitter, flickr, etc.- please give links?
I promote my products on Twitter http://twitter.com/ritzeerebel , my blog http://ritzeerebel.blogspot.com , and I’m always posting new pictures on my Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/ritzeerebel/ .
