Many people in the craft world are taking environmental issues into their own hands and I say “good on them”! I am going to use the next few articles I write for Handmade Spark to explore how etsy artists and crafters recycle and re-use various items to create new and beautiful things.

I am just amazed at the stunning and useful range of objects that can be designed from that simple piece of rubbish – the plastic bag. Many items shown below are fashioned from ‘plarn’ (plastic yarn) which is easily made by tying together loops of sliced up bags. Here’s how to do it
