I have been creating unique book objects for many years. After searching long and hard for other book artists on Etsy, I have found these wonderful creations. I looked specifically for unusual book structures, non-traditional materials and obvious hand work on each book. These book works attracted my attention right away. Each is unique and exists in the space between art and book. It is very difficult to locate book art on Etsy as there is no category for such art. I think this work is more art than book. There is no Etsy sub-category in “ART” for book art so we are all quite invisible on the huge site. Therefore I decided to start an Etsy team for book artists called The Alchemical Codex Society:  Book Artists of Etsy.

We are now an elite community of book makers and hope collectors will find us more easily. There is a solid collector base for book art and numerous exhibitions of artists’ books are held all over the world. So it is fitting that we are an international team.
